The Raiders’ defense did settle in and wound up frustrating Mayfield and the Bucs for the remainder of the first half and the third quarter. Las Vegas got the turnover train rolling, too.

Raiders defensive end K’Lavon Chaisson helped turn the tide with a terrific individual defensive play. Chaisson tipped a Mayfield pass behind the line of scrimmage and popped it straight up in the air to himself for an interception.

On Tampa’s ensuing drive, Las Vegas linebacker Amari Burney would follow with a strip-sack fumble of Mayfield that safety Tre’von Moehrig would pounce on for the Raiders’ second takeaway.

Las Vegas then forced a three-and-out before Raiders cornerback Jack Jones intercepted an ill-fated Mayfield pass in the end zone thanks to pressure up front from defensive end Maxx Crosby and defensive tackle John Jenkins.

The Raiders forced a pair of punts to begin the second half as well.

Las Vegas couldn’t keep Tampa Bay down, though. The Bucs closed with a pair of touchdown drives on its final two possessions, including the game-icing, 29-yard touchdown grab from McMillan.
