In his first season as a starter, Djabome was selected Third Team All-Big Ten in the media vote. The Longueuil, Québec, Canada, native ranks fifth in the Big Ten with 8.5 tackles per game. He has totaled 102 stops overall, the first Scarlet Knight to reach triple figures since Olakunle Fatukasi in 2020. The linebacker paced Rutgers in tackles in 7-of-12 games and has five outings with 10 or more.
Djabome, who also led the team with seven tackles-for-loss, had a high of 14 tackles in the wins over Howard and Minnesota. He posted sacks versus Nebraska, Minnesota and Michigan State, adding forced fumbles versus Virginia Tech and Wisconsin.
The winner of the 2024 Jon Cornish Trophy will be announced Monday.
The Scarlet Knights are set to travel to Phoenix to take on Kansas State in the 2024 Rate Bowl at Chase Field. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. ET (3:30 p.m. local) on Thursday, Dec. 26 on ESPN.
