Jacob played the entirety of his college football at Tennessee. With the Volunteers, he was active for five seasons, racking up 607 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.
Warren was a starter for the Vols his final three seasons. He earned multiple awards along the way, including being named as a 2023 Wuerffel Trophy Nominee for his leadership both on and off of the field.

His success at Tennessee earned him an opportunity in the NFL with the New England Patriots. Warren spent this past preseason in New England, but didn’t record any receptions during those games – as he wasn’t actively getting snaps for any of them. He was cut back at the end of August.
At 6’6”, 253 lbs., Warren is a big bodied tight end who’s got the ability to run routes as well. With some of the changes that the Showboats are making across the board, it’s not too surprising to see the TE room being adjusted. As of right now, Sage Surratt has not been re-signed; but Warren – and also former Stars TE Ryan Izzo – have been added in his place. Jacob is an exciting pickup by GM Jim Monos, given his youth – and tremendous athletic upside.
