Based on odds from the BetMGM online sportsbook, my Raiders vs. Jaguars prediction is the Raiders Moneyline (-115).
If there’s any quarterback against which Las Vegas can end its losing streak, it’s Jaguars quarterback Mac Jones.
Jones has struggled immensely to capture outright wins in his career, even at the shortest of numbers.
When Jones falls between -3 and +3 on the spread, he’s posted a dismal 8-15 record in his career.
While most of that record came during his time in New England, Jones runs into a Raiders team that played admirably defensively on Monday night against Atlanta.
Without star edge rusher Maxx Crosby, Las Vegas kept a potent Falcons offense to only 261 yards of offense.
In Week 16, Antonio Pierce takes the Raiders from playing a team 14th in offensive DVOA to a team 16th in that category, albeit against the second-hardest set of opposing defenses.
Pierce has also excelled as a market favorite in his young tenure with Las Vegas.
While it’s only a five-game sample size, Pierce is 4-1 ATS when he’s a market favorite.
Although I don’t love the fact the Raiders play on short rest, it’s the hosts or nothing on Sunday for me.
