Max Duggan
In one of the biggest signings we have seen in spring football, the Battlehawks have added QB Max Duggan to the roster. Max was a seventh round draft pick for the Los Angeles Chargers back in 2023, after he led TCU to the National Championship the year prior.
Duggan started at TCU for four years, and had a tremendous career with the Horned Frogs. He threw for 9,618 yards and 73 touchdowns across that span, to just 28 interceptions. Max earned 2022 First-Team All-Big 12 as a senior, alongside a plethora of other accolades during his time at TCU. He was also a Heisman Trophy runner-up in 2022, following a campaign where he threw for 3,698 yards and 32 touchdowns en route to a Championship berth.

In addition to his success as a passer, Duggan is a dual threat quarterback. He rushed for 1,856 yards across his college career, with 28 touchdowns to his name on the ground.
Max was drafted by the Chargers in 2023, and spent the last two years with the team. He didn’t see much success with Los Angeles, though, failing to live up to expectations in the NFL. Duggan was released this past August….
