Former Purdue Boilermaker quarterback Marcos Davila committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Friday night. Davila did not appear in a game in 2024 as he was redshirting for his freshman season.
He will add depth to the quarterback room next season following the departure of Daniel Kaelin to the Virginia Cavaliers and Heinrich Haarberg’s switch to tight end.
The quarterback hails from Midland, TX, where he played for Midland Legacy. As a senior in high school, he started in 13 games, throwing for 3,303 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.
He was a former four-star recruit according to 247Sports and a three-star prospect by Rivals and On3 rankings. He was the 20th overall quarterback in the country, and he was the No. 47 overall recruit in the state of Texas in the 2024 recruiting cycle, according to 247Sports.
Davila will have four years of eligibility remaining. Find social media reactions to the transfer news by scrolling below.
