Huskers land transfer from Oklahoma

Huskers land transfer from Oklahoma

Nebraska football landed linebacker Dasan McCullough on Sunday. The linebacker visited Lincoln this weekend.

McCullough began his career with the Indiana Hoosiers in 2022. As a freshman, he burst onto the scene, recording 49 tackles and four sacks. He then transferred to the Oklahoma Sooners in 2023 and spent the past two seasons with the Sooners. He recorded 47 tackles and three pass deflections during his time with the program.

McCullough was a former four-star recruit. He played high school football at Blue Valley North High School in Kansas from 2018-20 and then at Bloomington South High School in Indiana in 2021.

This is another big get for the Nebraska football defense. The linebacker room is undergoing a bit of an overhaul at the moment. Dawson Merritt and Christian Jones headline the group of linebackers coming in. McCullough’s addition gives the linebacker room additional veteran presence. The Huskers already have some second-year players in Vincent Shavers and Willis McGahee IV.

McCullough helps stabilize what is a young but promising unit. Find social media reactions to the news below.
