Assuming the starters play even a portion of Sunday’s game, the Chargers have a great opportunity to get some potential playoff contributors into a rhythm ahead of their Wild Card Weekend matchup. With Gus Edwards (ankle) unable to practice and already ruled out for this week, LA can give Hassan Haskins and Kimani Vidal more carries than usual in case they need to be called upon in the playoffs.
In the passing game, the outlook is similar. Second-leading receiver Joshua Palmer is out with a foot injury, which should open more looks for Quentin Johnston, Derius Davis, and potentially DJ Chark on Sunday. Davis has come on lately, scoring his first two NFL receiving touchdowns.
