The 2024 NFL season is over for the 18 teams who did not qualify for the postseason. It’s now officially draft season for those franchises, only two of which finished with a winning record.
The order within the top few slots changed quite a bit over the final weeks. The Tennessee Titans ultimately wound up seizing the top spot when the Patriots, Giants and Jaguars all picked up late-season wins to drop them out of contention for No. 1 overall.
The selection order for the playoff teams is not yet known. The losers of the wild card games will earn the next eight selections, followed by divisional round losers, the championship game losers and then the two Super Bowl combatants picking 31 and 32.
With no traded picks (yet!), here are the first 18 draft selections in the 2025 NFL Draft.
New England Patriots (4-13)
Jacksonville Jaguars (4-13)
New York Jets (5-12)
Note: The Jets and Panthers order will be decided on a strength of schedule tiebreaker that will not be determined until after the Lions-Vikings game on Sunday night
Carolina Panthers (5-12)
