Quarterback Carson Wentz, who started in place of Patrick Mahomes, completed 10-of-17 passes for 98 yards in the game. Wide receiver Nikko Remigio led all receivers with two catches for 48 yards, while tailback Carson Steele rushed for 25 yards on eight carries.
Defensively, linebacker Cam Jones led Kansas City with 12 tackles. Linebacker Blake Lynch, safety Jaden Hicks, defensive lineman Marlon Tuipulotu and defensive end Felix Anudike-Uzomah each notched a tackle-for-loss in the game.
In terms of injuries, safety Chamarri Conner (collarbone) left Sunday’s game early, but Coach Reid reported following the game that X-rays were negative, and Conner’s prognosis was good.
The Chiefs will now enjoy an extended break before kicking off the Divisional Round of the postseason in two weeks. Kansas City will host the lowest seed remaining in the AFC following the Wild Card Round.
