ZaQuandre White is back in action, signing with Houston – a team that is looking to shake up their backfield in 2025. White has some legitimate spring football experience, spending time with the Birmingham Stallions and DC Defenders across the last two seasons.
White attended South Carolina University for the majority of his college career, totaling 642 rushing yards (6.2 YPC) and 198 receiving yards (9.4 YPR) in his time at USC. Before South Carolina, White went to Florida State, where he played linebacker prior to transitioning to running back.
White went undrafted following the 2022 NFL Draft, and was later signed by the Miami Dolphins and added to their practice squad. His time with Miami was brief, as he was later released.
ZaQuandre White was picked up by the USFL’s Birmingham Stallions in 2023, joining a loaded running back room there. He saw action in five games, compiling 129 rushing yards and two scores. Additionally, he made an impact coming out of the backfield, with 81 receiving yards and a touchdown.

With the Defenders, White was cut prior to the season beginning – but came back a few weeks in. He had 74 rushing yards on 28 carries, averaging just 2.6 YPC. ZaQuandre will now look to get his pro career back off the ground, with the Houston Roughnecks.
