The North Carolina Tar Heels have made the trenches a priority in the transfer portal. And on Saturday, they added another big piece.
Per Inside Carolina, Troy transfer Daniel King has officially signed with North Carolina, being the latest player to commit to the program.
North Carolina has landed another offensive lineman out of the Transfer Portal. Troy transfer Daniel King signed with the Tar Heels, sources confirmed on Saturday. King announced his commitment via 247Sports.
King, a 6-foot-5, 340-pounder, officially visited Chapel Hill this week, arriving on Thursday. It was his only visit, as he entered the Portal on Wednesday.
King started all 40 games he appeared in three seasons for Troy, earning a spot on the All-Sun Belt Second Team twice in his career. He did so while making starts at both guard spots over his career.
The Tar Heels have wanted to improve its offensive line which saw some turnover this past offseason. Getting that solidified was important for Belichick and his staff.
So far, UNC has added 18 players in the transfer portal including two on Saturday as Thaddeus Dixon also made his commitment as well. UNC is likely not done with the additions, either.
