Saquon Barkley torches Rams again as Eagles move to NFC Championship

A week after setting a new career-high for rushing yardage in a playoff game, Saquon Barkley found a way to up his game once again. Barkley rushed for 205 yards and had two touchdown runs over 60 yards as he and the Philadelphia Eagles managed to pull away and hold on for a 28-22 victory over the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Divisional Round on Sunday afternoon in a snowy Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

“The elements was great, but the atmosphere was even better,” Barkley said in postgame interview. “Our fans were amazing. That was a close one, but that’s playoff football. And at the end of the day, we got the job done.”

Barkley and the Eagles are now one win away from a trip to the Super Bowl. Their next opponent will be the division rival Washington Commanders, who stunned the Detroit Lions on Saturday night. Barkley rushed for 146 yards when the Eagles hosted the Commanders earlier this season and then 150 yards in the most recent meeting between the two division rivals. Barkley rushed for two touchdowns in each game, which were split between the Eagles and Commanders (the home team won each game).
