ESPN’s Mike Greenberg calls Jayden Daniels greatest rookie of all time

Former LSU quarterback and Heisman Trophy winning quarterbackJayden Daniels put the NFL world on notice.

In the NFL Playoffs divisional round on Saturday, the rookie gunslinger led the Washington Commanders over the No. 1 Detroit Lions.Washington Commanders over the No. 1 Detroit Lions. He led a 28-point performance in the second quarter to put his team ahead for good to seal the upset victory.

On Sunday during NFL Countdown, ESPN commentator Mike Greenberg gave Daniels praise, calling him “the greatest rookie the NFL has ever had.”

“The greatest rookie season the league has ever seen… I think Jayden Daniels goes to number one,” Greenberg said.

In Saturday’s win, Daniels threw for 299 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 51 yards. One of six nominees for Rookie of the Year, he totaled 4,459 yards and 32 touchdowns to nine interceptions.

Daniels and his team await the winner of the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams ahead of the NFC Championship game. The Commanders will hit the road once again, aiming to punch their ticket to the Super Bowl.
