Chris Claybrooks is an interesting add for Arlington, given his background. Claybrooks began his college career as a wide receiver, playing for two community colleges before making his way to Memphis. When Claybrooks got to Memphis, he switched to DB – seeing action there for two seasons.
Chris missed some action in 2018, due to a foot injury. In 2019, though, he had a solid campaign – with 42 tackles, an interception, and three PBU’s to his name. Claybrooks also had 11 kick returns for 338 yards and a score with the Tigers.

This earned Claybrooks an NFL opportunity with the Jaguars, who drafted him in the 7th round of the 2020 draft. While he dealt with injuries early on, Claybrooks ended up seeing some action in Jacksonville. Across three seasons, he totaled 81 tackles, a forced fumble, and five PBU’s.
Unfortunately, off field issues have been a problem for Chris. He’s had multiple arrests revolving around domestic violence, which led to the NFL suspending him for eight games this past August. Now, Chris turns to the UFL to continue his pro career – and is being given a shot to turn things around by GM Rick Mueller.
