The Arlington Renegades have made it official: Luis Perez is back in town. Alongside him is WR Deontay Burnett who rejoins the roster ahead of the upcoming UFL season.
Perez is officially back in Arlington, re-signing today.

Bob Stoops and Chuck Long are no doubt thrilled to have Luis back, and it’s expected that he will once again be the starter for the Renegades in 2025.
WR Deontay Burnett
In other news, Deontay Burnett is back in action as a trusty slot receiver for Arlington. He was an offseason addition as a Dispersal Draft pickup during the merger, and proved to be an important weapon for Perez & Co. in Chuck Long’s offense.
He played in the XFL in 2023, with the Houston Roughnecks – and performed at a high level throughout the year. Burnett had 378 yards and six touchdowns with Houston that year, seeing plenty of success with A.J. Smith at OC.

Deontay ended up starting in five of 10 games for Arlington this year, racking up 306 receiving yards and two touchdowns for the Renegades. He was a first down machine, with 22 of his 34 receptions moving the chains.
