-Borgonzi discussed the recent front office additions made by the Titans – Dave Ziegler and Reggie McKenzie.
“I’ve known Dave, and I’ve known Reggie, for a long time,” Borgonzi said. “Tremendous people, first of all, very respected in the business, tremendous evaluators. They will be a great sounding board for all of us – they’ve both been in the chair before. Just a ton of respect for them, and I think if you talk to people in the league, you’ll hear the same thing about them. Just excited, and they will be a part of the whole process – the college, the pro, getting things aligned and organized. We’re excited to have them.”
Ziegler, hired as assistant general manager, spent the 2024 season as a personnel advisor for the Saints. He previously worked for the Raiders, Patriots and Broncos.
McKenzie, who interviewed for the GM job in Tennessee before Borgonzi was hired, is also joining the organization’s personnel department. McKenzie previously served as a senior personnel executive for the Dolphins. He spent six years in Miami and was the Raiders’ G.M. for seven years before joining the Dolphins. The University of Tennessee product spent nearly two decades working with the Packers before his move to the Raiders.
Neither Ziegler nor McKenzie has “officially” been announced by the team because of contract paperwork, but both Ziegler and McKenzie are here at the Senior Bowl, working for the Titans.
“They will be a great asset to the entire organization,” Borgonzi said. “The more smart people we can get in here, with really good ideas, the better.”
