What Jets owner Woody Johnson said at Aaron Glenn introductory presser

This week at One Jets Drive was all about Aaron Glenn and Darren Mougey.

Make no mistake, team owner Woody Johnson had plenty to say at the occasion.

Glenn and Mougey, respectively, were hired as the new head coach and general manager in New York. Naturally, Johnson had a say in the decisions to hire the duo.

Johnson is happy.

“I’ve seen this for months now, it’s absolutely amazing,” Johnson told the team’s website after Glenn and Mougey spoke. “Both of them–I think the symphony between them–is going to transformational for the Jets.”

It’s a two-sided decision as Rodgers will play a part, but from the team’s standpoint, Johnson said he’s letting Glenn and Mougey handle that.

“I’m going to leave that to them,” Johnson said. “They’ve got to take a look at how the team is composed.”

Glenn was hired last week. Mougey was tabbed the following weekend.

Does that mean Glenn is the top dog?

While Johnson promised he will not be getting involved in the Rodgers decision, he…
