8 takeaways from Aaron Glenn introductory press conference with Jets

What Jets owner Woody Johnson said at Aaron Glenn introductory presser

The New York Jets have officially welcomed Aaron Glenn to One Jets Drive.

Glenn, 52, returns to New York as he has been hired by the team as their next head coach.

His arrival was met with plenty of excitement because of his prior connections with the Jets as a player. Now his first day in New York is in the books with his introductory press conference that went down on Monday.

Glenn had plenty to say.

“I can’t tell you how long that process will be but the thing is we’re going to make sure we get the right answer. We are not going to rush to this answer, we are going to get the right answer,” Glenn said.

In addition, Glenn said he has spoke to the 41-year-old quarterback via text message.

Eventually an answer needs to be found, but the Jets have time.

Furthermore, Glenn said the coaching staff and roster building “is not about Arron Rodgers, folks, it’s about the roster.” No more influence for Rodgers, if he’s back.

“We are not going to agree on everything & that’s okay but the one thing we have is respect for each other & no matter what when we make a decision it’s going to be both of our decision,” Glenn said.
