Full updates for K.C. after Super Bowl bye week

With nine days left before their highly anticipated Super Bowl LIX matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Kansas City Chiefs have five players listed on their injury report.

On Friday, Kansas City released its final injury report for the Super Bowl bye week, which saw multiple key starters listed with various conditions.

The size of the Chiefs’ injury report pales in comparison to the Eagles’ lengthy list of sidelined stars, which saw 14 players reported to be dealing with many types of ailments.

At this point, the Chiefs are too far out from gameday to know exactly who will be able to play, and which athletes will have to miss Super Bowl LIX due to their injuries.

Check out this list of every player who was listed on Kansas City’s injury report this week, with a status update on their condition after the Chiefs’ latest practice session:

Cook is dealing with a quad injury, but it didn’t affect his ability to participate in Kansas City’s practice sessions on Thursday and Friday.

Mahomes is still dealing with a lingering ankle injury but did not have to miss any time in practices this week.

The Chiefs didn’t practice on Wednesday but estimated that Taylor would have been a full participant in drills despite his knee injury if the team was operating on a normal schedule.

Surprisingly, Taylor was limited in practice on Thursday, which was cause for concern ahead of Super Bowl LIX.

However, he returned to full participation in drills on Friday.
