JACKSONVILLE – This was a dream, and it’s a big one.
Just because long snapper Ross Matiscik has made the Pro Bowl Games before doesn’t make the experience all that different for he and Jaguars punter Logan Cooke. They both made it, and they’re both there – and that makes for a memorable week.
“It’s really cool,” Cooke said while in Orlando for this week’s 2025 Pro Bowl Games.
Matiscik, like Cooke widely considered one of the NFL’s best players at his position, echoed the sentiments of his teammate/friend and called the experience “really, really cool.”
“It never gets old seeing all the stars here and getting to meet some guys you’ve seen on TV and are fans of,” Matiscik said. “It’s cool to be around the guys. It’s cool to get my family out here and be here with Logan.”
Matiscik said of his second consecutive Pro Bowl appearance, “It makes you hungrier than ever to get back at it and try and have a better year, to be as consistent as possible.”
Cooke and Matiscik, each of whom were voted to the Pro Bowl earlier this month, are among three Jaguars players in Orlando this weekend for the event along with rookie wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. – who was named to the game last week.
“We both had Pro Bowl years, so it would have been would have been kind of tough if one of us got it and the other one didn’t,” Cooke said of Matiscik. “Both being in definitely made that a lot easier – and fun, obviously, because we love to hang out.”
