Chiefs vs. Eagles Super Bowl LIX Injury Report

The Eagles held their first practice of Super Bowl Week on Wednesday and here is the latest on the injury front.

Defensive end Brandon Graham is hoping to return for the Super Bowl after tearing his triceps on November 24 in the Week 12 win over the Rams.

He was limited on Wednesday, but remains optimistic about his availability for the Super Bowl.

“We’re gonna see. We’re gonna see,” Graham said on Wednesday. “Hopefully, with them seeing me practice, they believe that I can help on Sunday.”

Graham spoke to other players who have torn their triceps in the past to see if the timeframe from when he suffered the injury would provide enough leeway to give him the chance to come back.

The Eagles know what it would mean for Graham, a hero in the Super Bowl LII win with a strip-sack of Tom Brady in the fourth quarter, to play.

“We’ll see where he is by the end of the week. If he’s able to be out there with us, it would mean a lot to this football team, just his leadership,” Head Coach Nick Sirianni said on Wednesday. “Obviously, his ability and his play and the things that he can do, but it would mean a lot for us out there to be able to make – if he’s out there, I know he’ll make plays that help us win the football game.”

Graham is on Injured Reserve, so the Eagles would need to make a roster move in order to activate him for Sunday.

The good news is that everyone on the active roster participated in some capacity.

Running back Kenneth Gainwell, who suffered a concussion and a knee injury in the NFC Championship, returned to practice for the first time in a limited capacity.

Starting offensive linemen Landon Dickerson (knee) and Cam Jurgens (back), who battled through injuries in the NFC Championship, were full participants.

  • DT Jalen Carter (Illness)
  • RB Kenneth Gainwell (Concussion/Knee)
  • DE Brandon Graham (Elbow)
  • WR DeVonta Smith (Hamstring)
  • LB Zack Baun (Groin)
  • WR Britain Covey (Neck)
  • G Landon Dickerson (Knee)
  • TE Dallas Goedert (Ankle)
  • C Cam Jurgens (Back)
  • TE C.J. Uzomah (Abdomen)

Could Chiefs get another offensive piece back for Super Bowl?

Everyone on the Chiefs’ active roster was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice.

Wide receiver Skyy Moore, who has been on Injured Reserve since October with an abdomen injury, was limited on Wednesday.

A former second-round pick, Moore did not have a catch in the regular season…
