The New York Jets have made another addition to their coaching staff under Aaron Glenn.
Glenn’s first group of coaches he will work with already has the coordinator and other positions filled. The latest relates to the creation of a new job.
According to the New York Post, Jon Berger has been hired by the Jets as the team’s game management coach:
Jets coach Aaron Glenn has added Jon Berger to his staff as a game management coach, per sources. Berger worked for the Giants from 1987-2021 in various analytics roles. He has worked for the NFL since then, including as VP of replay.

The specific job description has not been reported but the general idea seems pretty straight forward. Such positions are not uncommon in the NFL but have various names.
Berger was the NFL’s VP of replay in 2024. Prior to that role, Berger worked for the New York Giants for over 40 years in their analytics department in various positions. His last job with the Giants was senior director of football information.
Whether Berger is on the sideline during game day or up in the booth, it’s clear that in some capacity he will have a line to Glenn during crunch moments when the Jets play.
Jets Wire will continue to provide updates on the team throughout the offseason.
