Barking Backers hosts Smooches & Pooches event

Barking Backers, the official Fan Club for Dogs, presented by Milk-Bone and in association with Embrace Pet Insurance and Pet Supplies Plus, brought the love to Huntington Bank Field with their final event of the season, Smooches & Pooches.

Held on Feb. 8, dogs – along with their human counterparts – had the chance to explore stations set up around Huntington Bank Field to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

Stations ranged from presenting partner Milk-Bone, which offered a treat giveaway to all pups, to Pet Supplies Plus which gave away a treat ball and bandanas. Embrace Pet Insurance provided a craft station for humans to create their own friendship bracelets for themselves and their furry friends, while ForeverLawn handed out love potions.

Along the way, other stations gave away strawberry flavored pup cups to pups in attendance and a kissing booth photo opportunity for their humans and furry friends.

As they walked around the lower level, members could also take photos in the home team locker room, as well as with Chomps and Brownie. Humans had one more stop along the way for Sips & Treats to cap off the sweet day.

Members of Barking Backers were also encouraged to donate through a doghouse sale donation or with a paper towel roll at the entrance of the event. Thanks to the generous donations from Barking Backers members, the event raised $1,000 and collected 248 paper towel rolls, For the 2024 Barking Backers season, a total of 632 paper towel rolls were collected and $2,024 was donated to animal non-profit organizations.
