With the UFL season right around the corner, the pieces continue to come together across the board. ESPN has officially announced their commentating teams for the upcoming season – introducing some new faces to the UFL scene.
NEWS: @ESPN has announced their #UFL commentators for the 2025 season.
Team 1: Joe Tessitore, Jordan Rodgers, Tom Luginbill, Sam Acho
Team 2: Mark Jones, Roy Philpott, Roddy Jones, Cole Cubelic, Harry Douglas
Team 3: Lowell Galindo, Kirk Morrison, Eric Mac Lain, Aaron Murray— James Larsen (@JamesLarsenPFN) February 12, 2025
TEAM ONE
The first team includes Joe Tessitore and Jordan Rodgers in the booth – in what’s an excellent move by ESPN. Joe Tessitore is one of the organization’s finest, calling plenty of big-time college games for the network across the years. Having Tessitore’s voice in the UFL will no doubt bring even more credibility to the league in 2025.

On the ground, Tom Luginbill and Sam Acho will be the sideline reporters. Acho and Luginbill have both been in the booth the last two seasons, but now will head to the sidelines with Tessitore and Rodgers joining the UFL team with ESPN.
TEAM TWO
Team two will be interesting to watch, as they will feature three broadcasters in the booth, on rotation. Mark Jones is a big add to the commentating team, having been a key figure with ESPN calling college football and the NBA. Jones will be joined by Roy Philpott and Roddy Jones – but Philpott and Jones will be splitting play-by-play duties. It appears that the two will rotate from week to week depending on availability. Cole Cubelic and Harry Douglas are both veteran sideline reporters in the spring scene, and will continue to do excellent work on the ground for ESPN.
