Memphis Showboats Sign Rutgers WR Isaiah Washington

The lone transaction from the UFL on Thursday saw WR Isaiah Washington sign with the Memphis Showboats. As Memphis continues to reshape their roster as a whole, Washington brings depth to the wideout room as Training Camp approaches.

Washington played his college football at Rutgers, where he burst onto the scene as a freshman, making 11 starts. Isaiah posted 272 yards and a touchdown that year. However, across the next few seasons, Isaiah didn’t see a ton of action, only making one start.

It wasn’t until his senior season that Washington got more involved with the offense again. He started in all 13 games, racking up 326 yards and a score in 2023. This led to an NFL opportunity with the Baltimore Ravens, where he spent this past preseason. He had one catch for six yards with the Ravens.

Washington also spent a bit of time in the CFL with Montreal Alouettes, but didn’t see the field in 2024.

Now, he’ll look to get his pro career off the ground in the UFL, with the Showboats. It’s an intriguing pickup for GM Jim Monos, bringing more of a developmental player into the fold. At 6’2”, 206 lbs., Washington is another taller receiver who fits the…
