It’s worth trying to re-sign Adebo to improve depth at cornerback — right now, your starters would be Alontae Taylor and Kool-Aid McKinstry — but he may get better offers in free agency than the Saints can match. He’s recovered well from a broken leg and is seen as one of the best available cornerbacks headed for the market. Tagging him would not be worth it, but the Saints should make an effort to keep him. The only corners making more per year than the franchise tag’s valuation are Jalen Ramsey, Patrick Surtain II, and Jaire Alexander. Adebo isn’t on their level just yet.
