Giants Now: Multi-round mock drafts predictions

The 33rd Team’s Kyle Crabbs also recently published a two-round mock draft.

While Crabbs has the Giants selecting a quarterback at No. 3 as well, he went with Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders after projecting Ward to the Titans with the first pick.

Sanders began his collegiate career at Jackson State, where he played for two years and was named the SWAC Freshman of the Year in 2021 and the SWAC Offensive Player of the Year in 2022.

The talented young quarterback then transferred to Colorado, where he put together back-to-back strong campaigns for the Buffaloes.

Sanders completed 69.3 percent of his passes for 3,230 yards, 27 touchdowns and just three interceptions across 11 games as a junior in 2023. This past season, he completed an impressive 74.0 percent of his passes for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

His 2024 performance led to him being named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year in addition to being selected as the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award recipient, given to the nation’s top upperclassman quarterback.

Similar to Baumgardner, Crabbs also has the Giants selecting a defensive tackle at No. 34, although he has the Giants taking South Carolina’s T.J. Sanders.

“New York has plenty of pass rush on the edge but would benefit from a disruptor to play next to Dexter Lawrence in the middle,” wrote Crabbs.

Sanders broke out in a big way over his final two seasons at South Carolina. Measuring in at 6-foot-5 and 300 pounds, Sanders recorded a total of 93 tackles (57 solo), 9.5 sacks, 17 tackles for loss and five passes defensed across 25 games in 2023-24, culminating with a second-team All-SEC selection this past season.
