RL: I’ll be interested in seeing the top QBs, Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders, plus Jaxson Dart and Jalen Milroe, in the passing drills. Ward and Sanders figure to battle for the honor as the first quarterback drafted, but will one of them still be there when the Jets pick seventh overall? And if so, is he just what HC Aaron Glenn and OC Tanner Engstrand are looking for to run the Green & White offense? The defensive widebodies will also be on my radar. If Javon Kinlaw doesn’t re-sign, or even if he does, the Jets will need a big, durable freak to line up next to Quinnen Williams, stuff the inside running game and push the pocket. You know, something like the show he staged in 2023 when he chased down Penn State RB Kaytron Allen from behind? Seeing Grant post a 40 time close to, say, Dontari Poe’s 4.89 at 346 pounds in 2012 would be one of the highlights of the ’25 NFL Combine.

Not only have the Jets filled out their coaching roster since the press conference, but they also have made changes to the player roster by announcing they’re going to part ways with QB Aaron Rodgers. This will also be the first time Mougey and Glenn will speak after they have spent significant time together strategizing their approach to free agency, the draft and positions of need for the Jets roster. While some mock drafts have the Jets taking a defensive tackle with the No. 7 overall pick, no one knows how the new coaching staff will approach free agency, which could impact the draft. Once we hear from Mougey and Glenn, we will have a better…
