Jeremy Flax & Lonnie Phelps Sign UFL Contracts

On Friday, a couple players signed to UFL teams in the XFL Conference. The Arlington Renegades signed OL Jeremy Flax, while the San Antonio Brahmas added EDGE Lonnie Phelps to the roster.

OL Jeremy Flax | Arlington Renegades

Jeremy Flax is another young prospect who joins this Arlington offensive line ahead of Training Camp. Jeremy played all of his college football at Kentucky, making 24 starts in 36 games played.

As a Senior, Flax was named to the Outland Trophy Watch List, and was also invited to the Hula Bowl. At 6’6”, 356 lbs., Flax is a big tackle prospect. With Kentucky, he primarily played at RT. Jeremy had an NFL stint with the Vikings coming out of college, and was released back in January with an injury settlement after remaining on IR for a few months.

For Arlington, this is an intriguing pickup. After starting center Jake Lacina retired, the Renegades still don’t have a true “center” on the roster. They’re loaded with guards and tackles, so we’ll see if one adopts the center role in Training Camp.
