On Monday, we saw two defensive players sign UFL contracts. The Arlington Renegades acquired DE Chris Odom, while the DC Defenders signed DB Kelvin Joseph as Training Camp kicks off this week.

After receiving his release from the Houston Roughnecks earlier this month, Chris Odom has found a new home. The Arlington Renegades have signed Odom, the former USFL DPOY, bringing some serious talent and depth to their defensive unit ahead of the season.
Arlington is at a point where they needed to add a notable piece to their D-Line. They lost Jalen Redmond and Vic Beasley this offseason, with Redmond heading to the NFL, and Beasley choosing not to return. With Odom now joining the fold ahead of Training Camp, he’s got the chance to make a legitimate impact as a starter.

Chris has been in the spring scene for quite a few years. He played in the AAF in 2019, posting 10 tackles and 2.5 sacks with the Salt Lake Stallions. Odom had a short stint in the CFL with Calgary, before making his way to the USFL in 2022. Chris Odom was named DPOY that year, with 41 tackles and 12.5 sacks to his name.
