On Saturday, the UFL released a plethora of signing information. These were mainly players who had already signed LOI’s, putting pen to paper on their official contracts. However, there were a couple of transactions. The St. Louis Battlehawks and Michigan Panthers both saw two players leave their respective teams.
Some notable movement in the #UFL:
– @USFLPanthers released OT Jarrett Horst, and All-UFL DT Daniel Wise (injury)
– @XFLBattlehawks released DT Isaiah Coe (injury), DT Kobe Smith retires— James Larsen (@JamesLarsenPFN) March 1, 2025
Michigan Panthers
OT Jarrett Horst: The Panthers have released Jarrett Horst, who had originally reported to camp. Horst was their first overall pick in the 2023 USFL College Draft, and joined the team for the inaugural UFL season. Jarrett saw action in nine games, making six starts. He finished the year as a starting left tackle.
DT Daniel Wise: It’s a bit surprising to see Wise let go – but we are told it was due to injury. Daniel earned All-UFL honors a year ago, missing half the season with injury but still performing quite well. Wise racked up 16 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and three TFL’s in five games. Hopefully, he’ll be back if he recovers – but Daniel will be available for other teams to pick up in the meantime.
#UFL Film Review: DT Daniel Wise | @USFLPanthers
8 tackles
2 sacks
1 TFLWas really impressed with @wisejayhawk‘s performance this opening weekend. Looks like one of the best DT’s in the league. If Daniel keeps playing like this, the NFL will call back in no time.

St. Louis Battlehawks
DT Isaiah Coe: Coe was a UFL College Draft pick by St. Louis, who was let go due to injury as well. Coe, the former Oklahoma product, landed in spring football looking to get his pro career off the ground. Don’t be surprised if Isaiah returns to St. Louis during the season, as he recovers.
