The DC Defenders have been busy this week in acquiring new talent, finalizing their roster for UFL Training Camp. WR Braylon Sanders is the latest of those new additions, bringing depth and talent to the wideout room after spending time in the NFL.

Braylon Sanders is an intriguing pickup out of Ole Miss. He played the entirety of his college career at Mississippi, and actually overlapped with current Defenders QB Jordan Ta’amu for a couple of years (2017-2018).

Sanders posted 1,453 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns during his career at Ole Miss. He had an excellent senior campaign, with 549 yards and four scores that year.

This earned Braylon an UDFA opportunity with the Miami Dolphins. He signed in 2022, and made a couple of appearances during the regular season as a rookie. Sanders had two receptions for 17 yards in 2022.

Since then, Braylon remained in Miami for a couple of years on their practice squad. An injury led to his release in September, but he was later signed by the New England Patriots and spent the rest of the NFL season on their PS. After being available the last couple of months, Braylon now makes his way to the UFL, signing with the DC Defenders. It’s another exciting addition by GM Von Hutchins, who recently just signed former Chiefs WR Cornell Powell.
