The New England Patriots have reportedly made an early jump on the 2025 free agency period by securing edge rusher Harold Landry III on a three-year contract, according to NFL.com’s Tom Pelissero, and re-signing tight end Austin Hooper to a one-year deal, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Landry, recently released by the Tennessee Titans, brings a wealth of experience and production to the Patriots’ defense. Drafted in the second round in 2018, the Boston College product has been a consistent force on the edge. Over his seven-season career, he has accumulated 397 tackles, 50.5 sacks, and 102 quarterback hits. In the 2024 season, Landry played all 17 games, recording 71 tackles, nine sacks, 15 tackles for loss, one safety, 15 quarterback hits, and four forced fumbles.
