Dolphins Sign Daniels

The Miami Dolphins announced today that they have signed guard James Daniels as an unrestricted free agent.

Daniels has played seven NFL seasons, spending time with Chicago (2018-21) and Pittsburgh (2022-24.) He has appeared in 90 career games with 84 starts – 23 at left guard, eight at center and 53 at right guard. He also started two postseason games, one with Chicago (2018) and another with Pittsburgh (2023). Daniels entered the league as a second-round selection (39th overall) by Chicago in the 2018 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at Iowa (2015-17), where he appeared in 37 games with 25 starts in three seasons with the Hawkeyes. Daniels is the cousin of former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chris Chambers (2001-07), who ranks fourth in career receiving yards in franchise history (5,688).
