Over the weekend, both the Birmingham Stallions and Michigan Panthers saw movement in UFL camp. The Stallions added DB Faion Hicks to their roster, while Michigan signed WR Phazione McClurge – an IFL standout who now gets a pro opportunity in the UFL.

DB Faion Hicks | Birmingham Stallions
The Birmingham Stallions have brought in some serious talent at cornerback, and continue to do so with the addition of Faion Hicks.
Hicks played his college football at Wisconsin, starting in 39 of 44 games played. Across that span, Hicks racked up 108 tackles, an interception, and 19 PBU’s. He was a key piece to Wisconsin’s secondary throughout his collegiate career, which caught the eye of NFL front offices.

Faion was selected by the Denver Broncos in the 7th round of the 2022 NFL draft, and spent a couple of years with the team on their practice squad. Since then, he’s had stints with the Seahawks, Saints, and Browns. This past NFL season, Hicks made a couple of appearances on the active roster in Seattle.

Now, he’ll look to get his pro career back on track with the Stallions. Faion has plenty of talent – but it’ll be an uphill battle for him to make this roster, given his late addition in camp.
