The Birmingham Stallions have made a defensive move late in camp. They’ve signed LB JoJo Domann to the roster, and removed DeMarquis Gates – one of Birmingham’s finest from the last couple of years in spring football.

The Stallions already loaded up on linebackers, but have made another addition with JoJo Domann joining the squad. Domann is an impressive pickup – but will have his work cut out for himself in order to make the roster with cuts just days away.
Domann had a lengthy career at Nebraska, missing a full season due to injury, and remaining with the Cornhuskers from 2016-2021. Across that span, he totaled 197 tackles, 25.5 TFL’s, and 5.5 sacks.
JoJo was 2nd-Team All-American at NEB. Had 197 tckls, 25.5 TFL & 5.5 sacks. Played in Senior Bowl.
Signed by IND as UDFA in ’22. Made roster as rookie. Also played for TEN but released last preseason. Has 11 tckls & 1 TD in #NFL.

JoJo made his way to the NFL in 2022, signing as an UDFA with the Indianapolis Colts. He saw action as a rookie, posting eight tackles his first year. In 2023, though, he was moved to the Titans and was active for a few games that season.
Since then, Domann has not been able to maintain a roster spot with any NFL team. He was waived by Tennessee in 2024 due to injury, and has yet to find a new home. This has led him to now sign with the UFL’s Birmingham Stallions, bringing depth and starting potential to the table – if he can prove himself in a short period of time.
