It’s that time of the year for the Birmingham Stallions to cut down their roster, in preparation for the 2025 UFL season. It was no easy task, but the Stallions have officially cleaned house, releasing 14 players as they now sit at 50.

TE Marcus Baugh

The Stallions released two wideouts, with Joseph Ngata and Tyron Johnson not making the roster. Ngata immediately jumps off the sheet as one of the surprises, given his background in the NFL. He was someone many expected to make a difference in Birmingham offensively.

Also, TE Marcus Baugh has been let go. Baugh found himself in a crowded tight end room, and now is on the outside looking in after being cut in camp. Marcus has plenty of spring ball success under his belt, so he’s someone that could certainly be picked up by another team.
The Stallions also brought in quite a few offensive linemen in the offseason – and there simply isn’t room for everyone. Akingbulu, the former Philadelphia Star, was someone projected to make the roster, but now makes his way to Arlington. The same goes for Matt Farniok, another offseason addition. Grant Miller wasn’t claimed off of waivers, and currently remains as a free agent.
