On Wednesday, we saw a few UFL players get placed on injured reserve for their respective teams. Given the scrimmages that happened yesterday, odds are that some of these players were hurt during those events.

Birmingham, DB Ike Brown: Losing Ike Brown is tough early on in the season, given what he was able to do last year. Ike came on strong towards the end of the season, earning starting minutes and providing Birmingham with outstanding play. His two interceptions in the USFL Conference Championship were clutch in solidifying a Championship berth. We’re told that Ike will be back on the roster at some point this year.
Memphis, DB Cam Dantzler: Another brutal secondary loss, Cam Dantzler going down already is not a great sign for the Showboats defense. Dantzler, the former Minnesota Viking, was someone that DC Jarren Horton was very impressed with so far in UFL camp. He was poised to be in the fight for starting at corner. Fortunately, we’re told that he will be back, and it isn’t a season-ending injury.
Michigan, LB De’Gabriel Floyd: Floyd has had some terrible luck in the UFL with the Panthers. He was placed on IR last season as well, before being released towards the end of the year. De’Gabriel is a guy who has worked his tail off to get this opportunity. He can contribute on special teams as well as defensively, but if he can’t stay healthy, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him let go.
San Antonio, WR Ra’Shaun Henry: The Brahmas are stacked at wideout, so this isn’t a major loss. That said, Ra’Shaun was an exciting offseason addition to this roster with what he can bring to the table. If Henry can return at some point during the season, expect him to get into the rotation in A.J. Smith’s offense.
With cuts happening today and tomorrow, it’s…
