The UFL always features some last minute twists and turns. For the San Antonio Brahmas, they added QB Mike Hohensee Jr. to their roster at the very last second before Saturday’s game, who ended up dressing as the third quarterback of the day.

This move is a strange one. Jarrett Guarantano was originally slated to be the third QB on the roster, but now appears to be leaving the team, or possibly is injured. Guarantano was seen at the game, per source, but was in sweats and hoodie – with no pads to be seen.
With that in mind, it seems that Jarrett clearly wasn’t ready to be the emergency signal caller on Saturday, hence why Mike Hohensee was brought in at the last second.

Mike is an intriguing prospect out of Northwest Missouri State. He spent his entire college career there, throwing for over 6,500 yards and 63 touchdowns – while rushing for 632 yards and 15 scores on the ground. He’s a dual threat quarterback who’s got plenty of upside, with some development in this scene.
His collegiate success led to an NFL opportunity with the Dallas Cowboys. Mike spent some time with the Cowboys at mini-camp this past spring.
Now, he gets his first true professional opportunity with the San Antonio Brahmas. Given the struggles we saw from QB Kellen Mond on Saturday – the door could be open for Mike to see action later on in the season.
