The Eagles added depth to their quarterback room, selecting Kyle McCord with the 181st overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
McCord, a Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, native, led the FBS with an ACC-record 4,779 passing yards during his senior season at Syracuse.
“I really had no idea who it was going to be and then I got the call from the 2-1-5 number. It was just a surreal moment, obviously growing up in the area and being around a ton of Eagles fans. You always dream of being a quarterback on the Eagles, but obviously any team could have came and got me at that point. Just a surreal moment, a lot of hard work was put in to get there and it was just a great moment to share with all of them,” McCord said in a virtual press conference with the Philadelphia media.
