UFL Issues Statement on Altercation Between Samson Nacua and Fan After Panthers/Battlehawks Game

Bud Select to be Named Official Beer Sponsor of St. Louis BattleHawks

The UFL is at the halfway point of their second season, but it’s not coming without some noise. Yesterday, video started circulating of Samson Nacua yelling back and fourth with a fan and ultimately looks to slap him before walking away.

This event took place at the conclusion of the tight matchup between the Michigan Panthers and Battlehawks, which saw St. Louis come out with the win.

As expected, the league didn’t waste any time addressing the situation. At the conclusion of the weekend slate UFL spokesman, Mike Wade, said “The UFL is aware of the incident that took place last evening at the conclusion of the Michigan Panthers vs. St. Louis Battlehawks game in St. Louis. League officials are currently investigating the matter.”

It’s hard to say what happened before the video, but it’s still never a good look for a player t put his hands on a fan.

It looks like the league is looking into the matter, so we’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
