Folks, we have another UFL trade. The San Antonio Brahmas and Arlington Renegades have come together to trade Storey Jackson and Ikenna Enechukwu, in what is a relatively even exchange for both organizations.
Brahmas Acquire Jackson
For the San Antonio Brahmas, they’ve been thin at linebacker this year. They just lost Nate Wieland to IR, and while they signed Paul Moala to the roster, Storey Jackson is a proven spring player who can come in and make an impact.
Jackson spent the 2024 UFL season with the Renegades, totaling 42 tackles and two TFL’s. He was a special teams POTY nominee, having posted 13 tackles in that category. This earned Storey an NFL opportunity with the Atlanta Falcons, where he spent the 2024 preseason.
Even though Storey was brought back, he has hardly been utilized by Arlington at all. He only played 10 snaps on special teams in week one, and wasn’t active since. It was a bit strange to see Jackson take such a step back this year, but with the emergence of Charlie Thomas at LB for Arlington, it makes sense.
Storey is a young prospect who should fit into Will Reed’s defense well. He plays with energy, and should provide a bit of a different dynamic compared to the veteran play of Tavante Beckett and Jordan…
