Over the past couple of days, the Arlington Renegades and DC Defenders have both made some moves in order to improve their respective rosters. The Renegades activated WR Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi, while the Defenders brought back DB Isaiah Johnson.
Arlington Renegades
- Activated WR Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi
- Cut WR David Durden
The Renegades have been able to activate Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi off of IR, as he was placed there down the stretch of UFL Training Camp.
Sheehy-Guiseppi has had a wild story in his football career so far. He was a track runner for the majority of his college career, but then he found a roster spot at Phoenix College, where he excelled as a returner leading the nation in return yards and touchdowns.
Damon somehow made his way to a Cleveland Browns tryout that he wasn’t even invited to, but impressed the Browns enough to make their preseason roster, and brought a punt to the house in 2019 against Washington.
He’s been in so many alt-football leagues since, most recently spending time in Italy where he earned Offensive POTY honors with the Lepano Frogs. Arlington’s got a loaded WR room, but we’ll have to see how Damon fits in.

WR David Durden was removed from the Renegades roster over the weekend. The former Cowboy didn’t get to see any snaps with Arlington this year, and with the return of Guiseppi, will have to look for a new home.
DC Defenders
- Signed DB Isaiah Johnson
- Released DE Davin Bellamy
The DC Defenders and GM Von Hutchins finally agreed on a mutual release with DE Davin Bellamy, who has been asking for it for weeks. Bellamy, the former All-XFL product with DC, was claimed by the Houston Roughnecks off of waivers.
