At the conclusion of this weekend’s UFL matchups, video started circulating of Michigan Panthers receiver, Samson Nacua, yelling back and forth with a fan which led to some physical contact.
The UFL didn’t waste any time addressing the situation. At the conclusion of the weekend slate UFL spokesman, Mike Wade, said “The UFL is aware of the incident that took place last evening at the conclusion of the Michigan Panthers vs. St. Louis Battlehawks game in St. Louis. League officials are currently investigating the matter.”
A few days out, the UFL has finalized their investigation and responded by handing out a 1-game suspension (without Pay) to Samson Nacua.
In addition to the suspension, Nacua has also agreed to participate on community service events arranged by the league. There have been reports circulating that the fan was the one to initiate the argument, with it being said that he spat on Nacua prior to the slap.
Regardless, players need to hold their composure on the field and the UFL is doing their part to keep things professional.
