The San Antonio Brahmas desperately need help defensively, and just landed DL Isaiah Buggs – a talented defensive lineman who also brings some off-field baggage with him.
Buggs has had a long, storied career in football so far. He started out at Mississippi Gulf Coast CC, playing there for two years. Across that span, Isaiah posted 134 tackles and 7.5 sacks.
This led to an opportunity at Alabama, where he spent two seasons. He had tremendous numbers with the Crimson Tide, especially in his senior campaign – recording 51 tackles and 9.5 sacks in 15 games played. Buggs earned multiple Second Team All-SEC honors in 2018.
Coming out of Alabama, Isaiah was drafted in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He totaled 31 tackles across 29 games (7 starts).
