The St. Louis Battlehawks have brought back OT Teton Saltes to the roster, following a season-ending injury to OG Abdul Beecham. Sources confirm to Pro Football Newsroom that Teton is back in the building, after being let go by the team during camp this year.
Saltes is no stranger to this Battlehawks roster. He was brought in by the Battlehawks during the 2024 UFL season, and spent the year as an emergency player for the team. Teton actually didn’t play any snaps with the Battlehawks in 2024.
Interestingly enough, Teton has hardly played any snaps at all over the past few years. He was with the Arlington Renegades in 2023, earning a Championship ring with the team – but only saw 12 snaps of action in a week one win over the Vegas Vipers. Granted, Saltes was injured for part of the year, but didn’t suit up at all after that.
Actually, it was his time in the USFL with the Michigan Panthers that Saltes had his most recent pro success. He started in seven of eight games played with Michigan that season, allowing just one sack – playing both tackle and guard.
Now, he returns to the Battlehawks who will be missing Abdul Beecham – a tough body to replace. It is interesting that St. Louis brought Saltes back, considering he’s been a tackle for the last few years. With his experience at guard in Michigan, though, keep an eye on Saltes to play the position – if his name gets called upon.
One also has to wonder why the Battlehawks didn’t bring back Eric Magwood instead. Eric has experience at tackle/guard, playing legitimate snaps for St. Louis a season ago.
