Primetime Ready: ACC Unveils Broadcast Lineup for Seven Major Football Games

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Television designations for seven marquee Atlantic Coast Conference football games in Week 1 of the 2025 season were announced Tuesday, May 13, as part of the ESPN and Disney Ad Sales Up Front presentation.
 
This year’s opening slate of full competition delivers five straight days of ACC Football from Thursday, August 28, through Monday, September 1, offering fans an exciting and action-packed start to the college football season.
 
Seven ACC teams will face Power 4 non-conference opponents – including Notre Dame – while five others will take on FBS competition across Weeks 0 and 1. Labor Day Weekend is highlighted by a Sunday doubleheader (August 31), with Miami and Virginia Tech both squaring off against preseason top-25 teams.
 
The week wraps up in prime time on Labor Day, as North Carolina will play host to TCU in a nationally televised showdown marking Bill Belichick’s much-anticipated collegiate coaching debut.

The game times and TV networks for the ACC’s seven premier games in Week 1 are listed below:

 

Friday, August 29

  • Georgia Tech at Colorado – 8 p.m. ET on ESPN

 
Saturday, August 30

  • 2025 Aflac Kickoff Game: Syracuse vs. Tennessee (from Atlanta) – noon ET on ABC
  • Alabama at Florida State – 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC
  • LSU at Clemson – 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC

 
Sunday, August 31

  • 2025 Aflac Kickoff Game: Virginia Tech vs. South Carolina (from Atlanta) – 3 p.m. ET on ESPN
  • Notre Dame at Miami – 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC

 
Monday, September 1

  • TCU at North Carolina – 8 p.m. ET on ESPN
