St. Louis Battlehawks Sign Micah Abraham, Cut Olakunle Fatukasi

In what is one of the most intriguing storylines of the UFL season: the St. Louis Battlehawks have signed CB Micah Abraham. Abraham, the son of Battlehawks’ defensive coordinator Donnie Abraham, makes his way to his father’s team down the stretch of what appears to be a playoff campaign in The Lou.

Micah Abraham is an incredibly exciting addition to this team. He’s got legitimate pro talent, having recently been with the Indianapolis Colts in 2024. In fact, Micah was actually a sixth round draft pick with the team. He was then picked up by the Cincinnati Bengals, but was quite literally waived by the team on May 12th of this year – two days ago.

Abraham played his college football at Marshall, where he was a standout. Ball-hawk would be a good way to describe Micah, as he recorded 12 interceptions during his collegiate career. Abraham racked up 150 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 12 interceptions, and 55 PBU’s across five seasons.

With some of the struggles/injuries that this Battlehawks defense has faced throughout the UFL season, Micah joining the roster is a great sign. He’s someone who could provide some juice late in the year, and already has pro experience under his belt. Make no mistake, he wasn’t signed just because his dad is the DC – Abraham is a baller who earns a well deserved UFL opportunity in St. Louis.

LB Olakunle Fatukasi Released

Olakunle joined St. Louis this past offseason, and proved to be a solid rotational piece for this defense the last several weeks. In six games, Fatukasi posted 21 tackles with the team. Olakunle had a strong 78.9 Defensive Grade via PFF this season.

He was also present on special teams, playing 85 snaps there – with six tackles to his name. Fatukasi wasn’t listed on any injury reports, and walked off the field just fine against Memphis on Sunday. This move is a bit of a head scratcher from GM Dave…
