Tuesday was a rough day for the St. Louis Battlehawks and Birmingham Stallions, as they both lost defensive players for the remainder of the UFL season. In Birmingham’s case, they cut a corner and saw one placed on IR, while the Battlehawks lost a star CB and standout DT to the injured reserve list.

Harper had a couple of rough patches this year when he was a starting CB (i.e. week six), but was playing better football over the last two weeks. With him now on IR, Harper’s UFL season is done.
CB Ike Brown: The Stallions have surprisingly cut CB Ike Brown, who was slated to return off of IR. With Harper placed on IR, Birmingham likely had to remove Ike from the roster for the time being, as he’s still ramping up his return.

Isaiah has racked up 11 tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble throughout the last three games. His presence on the interior will be severely missed.
CB Chris Payton-Jones: St. Louis cannot catch a break in the secondary. They continue to lose key pieces to injury, with Chris Payton-Jones now done for the season, joining Brandon Sebastian on IR. Jones had 18 tackles, five PBU’s, and two interceptions, starting all eight games. He will not be easy to replace, having allowed just a 36.4%…
